Join the Wolf River Conservancy this Sunday as they host the 4th Annual “Ride the Germantown Wolf River Greenway“. Israel and the Germantown Parks Dept have been, along with other sponsors, organizing and funding this fun bike ride to benefit the Wolf River Conservancy.
After the ride they will have burgers and fruit. Early registrants will get a free t-shirt, and they hope to provide t-shirts, either event or WRC t-shirts (as a back-ups), to nearly everyone who attends. The fee is only $10.
Pre-registration is still open, and walk up registrations begins the day of the ride at 7:45 am. The 50 mile ride will begin at 8:00 am.
You can choose to bicycle yourself, or go on a pre-destined ride that is suitable for families and their children.
Remember, safety first! All riders must wear protective gear. Hope to see you there!
Classic Match Up: Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Well guys, it’s that time: NBA Finals. The final two teams? LA Lakes and Boston Celtics. On one hand, I’m glad for the match up because it’s sure to be a good game. On the other hand, I wanted an underdog team to go for the finals to bring a little spontanaeity to the game. Plus I’m not a Lakers fan. :-/
There is nothing like it in professional sports, two franchises whose fates and histories, whose highs and lows are so intertwined across so many years.
So MHC, who will it be? Cast your vote on the blog poll and let us know who you’re going for!
Memorial Day Cooking Tips
Hey MHC! I know that you’re going to be around a grill at some point over the weekend, so I’ve decided a little Memorial Day cooking tip with you! This is how to make smoked sausage. Enjoy!
Then again, this is Memphis…do you really need to be taught more ways to BBQ?
You May Want Something Closer Than a ‘Window Seat’ For This One

Erykah Badu will be live in concert at the Orpheum Theater on June 10. Tickets are likely to sell out fast, so if I were you, and you’re a Badu fan, I’d get a ticket ASAP. To get tickets right now, you’ll have to be a really big fan as they’ve sold out of the cheaper tickets, and the lowest price on ticketmaster.com is going for $70. There may still be hope however, you can try to win tickets from your local radio station, or have someone buy it for you,
Sure Erykah has caught slack because of her controversial video ‘Window Seat’ where she walked down a public street ‘au natural’, but that does not hinder her musicality at all. Ms. Badu is a wonderful performer, and the concert is sure to be one of her greatest. Have you heard her album? Pure fire. I wish I could go to the concert,
Are you an Erykah Badu fan?

Have you ever been in the office, and really looking forward to lunch, but when you go to the shared refrigerator, your lunch has mysteriously disappeared? How heartbreaking is that? Apparently, it happens more than you may think, since there’s an article written on how to prevent it from happening again. It’s basically telling you how to catch a thief.
I don’t know if the situation is so bad in your office kitchen that you have to padlock your ziplock or put bells in the bottom of your lunch bag, but who knows, these tips may help somebody.
Have you ever had to deal with this problem?

“Please sir, I want some more…”
5 points to anyone that can tell me where this line is from! Or you could just glance at the title of this blog post.
Either way, it’s “Oliver“!
Brought to you in a musical masterpiece by Lionel Bartlett, this twist on the Charles Dickens novel follows Oliver as he navigates the treacherous streets of London in his search for a home and a family.
With jaunty tunes, tear jerking ballads, and outstanding performances, “Oliver!” is sure to captivate audiences of all ages. But just don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself!

Best New Cars for 2011

It seems like every year car makers come out with the ‘next best thing’. But in all actuality, what can be classified as the best car? Well, the new cars for 2011 are sure trying to claim that top spot. The most sought after vehicle for next year (which drops this summer) is the Ford Fiesta. The starting price is roughly $13K . Though it’s small, it features a fun driving experience and a comfortable, upscale cabin. Ford estimates the Fiesta will get 30 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway, so it’s easy to see that the car will reach the height of popularity quickly.
What cars do you have your eyes on for 2011?

Memphis is chocked full of greatness. From food, to music, to the wonderful people who live here; Memphis is definitely one of the places to be.
For those of you who have lived here for a good amount of time, I have a question to ask you. What’s Memphis food can’t you live without? I know some favorites are the barbeque, Huey’s, and Fresh Slices.
Where do you go for your favorite food fix?
