When Was the Best Clothing Era?

When looking back on the styles from years past, which do you think was the best? I think I like the style now. It’s taking bits and pieces of style from decades past, and tailoring it to fit this modern generation. Other than that, I think that the 70’s and 20’s had the best fashion.

Retro We Go: Fashion Turnabout for Today’s Younger Men
Uh…. Older, seasoned, pro guys…. do NOT try to pull this off.
My favorite new series (relatively new, anyway) is Mad Men. Mostly for the fashion. I actually remember the days of women wearing gloves when they went out for as much as a trip to the grocery store; men wearing hats with their suits; skinny ties with monochromatic color schemes or light geometric designs. You get it.
That very retro, very cool look is back…. thank goodness! But it seems it’s only the younger, up and coming “gentlemen” that are taking hold of this fashion trend. While the older, “been there/done that/have the tshirt” crowd are bending toward a more professionally tattered, business casual look. What’s up with that?
