Africa in April

Come one, come all, to witness a spectacle! Africa in April has returned to Memphis!

The free festival is Friday through Sunday at Robert Church Park; from 8 a.m. “until” Friday and Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Music, spoken word entertainment, shows, displays, and even an antique car show are being featured at the festival. The festival itself is free, but the food isn’t. Come out and try the various African and African American cuisines.

Black History Month

As you all know, today is the first day of February, marking the official start to Black History Month. Make sure you take the time to remember, teach, and acknowledge the immense and powerful contribution that the African American people has done for the world.
