Need a quick break from all of the stress that the holidays can bring? What about a nice wine dinner with a friend? Downtown Memphis restaurant Grill 83 announced that the December monthly wine dinner will feature wines and cuisine from Germany, and will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
The cost will be $59 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Seating is limited, and reservations can be made by calling (901) 333-1224 or by visiting the restaurant’s website. $59 isn’t a bad price for a three course wine dinner, especially with entrees such as venison loin medallions, warm German-style potatoes, asparagus and rosemary, all accompanied by a 2009 Dornfelder Jus Vino Noire. You also get dessert with dinner: apple and cherry strudel with brandy vanilla sauce, paired with a 2009 Peter Brun Bacchus. Sounds delish right?
Sometimes, it’s good to treat yourself, so why not do so with a lovely meal that doesn’t consist of the “holiday classics”?
