Say “Boo” to the Flu this Season by Getting Your Flu Shot!
There are many ways to keep your body strong and healthy. You can eat lots of fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamins and nutrients, you can exercise on a regular basis, make sure that you get plenty of vitamin C, and get your flu shot. Fall is here, and along with the beautiful weather comes something that is not so beautiful and that is flu season.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, everyone over the age of six months should get a flu vaccination each year. People that are especially susceptible to complications related to the flu are children under 5, people over the age of 65, pregnant women, and people with certain health conditions. These people should be sure to get their flu shot. For more information on the benefits and risks of the flu shot, visit CDC.gov.
Fortunately for residents of Madison Humphreys Center, the flu shot is available for $29.99 at the Walgreens located at North Main and Madison Avenue, just a mile from our community. Flu shots are available by appointment or on a walk-in basis. $29.99 is a small price to pay for good health.
