Head to the Library For All of Your Job Searching Needs
We all know that the public library has tons and tons of books available for check-out, but did you know that the library is your go-to place for all things job related? That’s right, the Cornelia Crenshaw Branch Library, which is conveniently located about a block from our community at Madison Humphreys Center, is one of the branches in the Memphis Public Library system that has a Job and Career Center.
At the Job and Career Center, you will find books on a wide range of helpful topics such as resumes, cover letters, interviewing, college guides, career encyclopedias and books on federal aid, grants and scholarships. There are also test preparation booklets for tests like the GED, ACT, SAT, ASVAB and more that are available for check-out and for sale.
Furthermore, the library receives many job listings from local companies and posts them on the Job & Career section of the spacious community bulletin board in the front area of the library.
If you’re on the job hunt, look to your local library to assist you with all of the resources that you need!
