Exercising in the Fall: True Blue 5K and Other Tips
Hello all of my runners and athletes in the metro Memphis area! Are you itching to lace up those sneakers and participate in another marathon run in the city? Well, the University of Memphis has the perfect opportunity for you, coming up on Friday, Novermber 5th at 7 pm on campus: The True Blue 5K.
The University of Memphis Alumni Association Young Alumni Committee encourages all alumni, students, friends and runners to join them for the 4th Annual True Blue 5k. Runners will enjoy a race thorough campus and a post race celebration that shows you how the Memphis Tigers do it.
All proceeds from the race will go to support the work of the Young Alumni Committee and its commitment to building a stronger University and a stronger city of Memphis. Early registration for the race is $30 plus a $2.50 online fee, and is $30 the day of the race.
Living at Madison at Humphreys Center Apartments, you’re privy to be close to events like this and more. The apartment complex also has it’s own fitness center, so if you’re not into marathon runs, you can easily make a workout plan for home. This website gives some great fall exercising tips that should help you in your pre (and post) holiday workouts.
